The CTIFMF was formerly known as the Cape Town & Winelands International Film Festival and was established by Leon van der Merwe in 2007.  After eight relatively successful years, the festival as it was known has been absorbed into a new company structure with an ambitious vision for it to become the Cannes of Africa. This year marks the 10th year since its inception and it is being celebrated with a new brand identity and for the first time, appoint a brand ambassador!
